VERY RARE FIND: This 1959 DeSoto, driven just 24K miles, is one of the finest “Forward Look” Mopars in existence.

ICONIC DESIGN: The 1959 DeSoto is among an elite line up of cars manufactured by Chrysler Corporation between 1956 and 1959 promoted as “CARS OF THE FORWARD LOOK.”

SPACE AGE STYLE: The chrome, color, trim, fins and of course DeSoto’s ICONIC triple-tower taillights epitomize the exuberance, wit and whimsy of the era. It even has the ultra-modern convenience of a push-button transmission.

SURVIVOR CLASS: To find any classic car with a FACTORY ORIGINAL interior as well preserved as this is nothing short of a miracle.

I always say “QUALITY OVER COLOR,” but when you have BOTH quality AND color, you have it ALL. EXTRA POINTS for the spectacular shade of metallic blue, which enhances the lines of the car from every angle, in every light.

MATCHY MATCHY: Few cars are a beautifully color coordinated inside and out as this. Everything on this car than can be blue is blue. That’s why I call the car “BLUE HEAVEN!

The ORIGINAL OWNER of this 1959 DeSoto was a pharmacist. He purchased the car at Brown DeSoto-Plymouth in Macomb, Illinois. I acquired the car from a former Mopar race car driver in Missouri.

DRIVES LIKE A DREAM: Mechanically this car drives a well as it looks. And let’s not forget it has Chrysler Corp’s torsion bar suspension providing superior handing and agility with which no GM or Ford product of the day can compare.

This 1959 Desoto is MORE than an American classic … MORE than mid-century modern masterpiece, it’s a WORLD CLASS NATIONAL TREASURE.
